Summit Lake Ski Hill

Alcan Nancy Greene Ski League:

Practices for Nancy Greene Racers are Sundays from 9:30 to Noon. We start with warm-up exercises before the T-Bar opens, so please meet at the lodge at 9:30 AM, ready to ski. There will be practices for the E1 group (5-8 year olds) when the E2 (9-12 year olds) are away at events. Please advise one of the coaches if you are not coming to a practice.

Following is the race schedule (West Kootenay Zone) for this season (2009-10). All races are open to registered skiers but racing is not mandatory. Racers receive a free lift ticket on race day at all areas. Coaches help out at events, but parents are urged to come as well to ensure youngsters have maximum fun.

January 17 - Phoenix Mtn, Grand Forks, E1/E2 Team race

January 31 - Salmo Ski Hill, E1/E2 Team Race

February 14 - Whitewater Ski Resort, Nelson, E1/E2 Team Race

~~February 28~~ - CANCELLED Summit Lake E2 individual race, E1 team race

March 7 - Red Mountain, Rossland, Zone Finals

March 8-12 - Spring Break - We're sure you could make good use of your time up here at the hill!!

March 21 - PENDING CONDITIONS, stay tuned-Spring Carnival and Nancy Greene Wind-Up and awards ceremony.

High School Ski & Snowboard Teams

High School Teams practice Sundays from 11:00 to 2:00 pm.

Our teams are training for the BC High School Provincial Championships on March 1-3, 2010 at Red Mountain in Rossland.
